The School Day

Our school day starts at 8.45am, children line up in the playground when the teachers raise their hands.  Registration and the school gate close at 9.00am so any child entering school after this time must do so by the main office and will be marked as late on the register. Please email or call us before 9am to let us know your child won't be attending due to illness. (Advice found here on attendance: https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/is-my-child-too-ill-for-school/)

We ask parents to park in the village and not to drive up Churchgate as it prevents the school transport from accessing the school and there is little parking available.  Do not encourage your children to walk up or down Churchgate on their own as we want to keep them safe!

Scooters and bikes may be parked in the Rectory garden.  It is your responsibility to supervise your child to and from the Rectory and a form is available from the office for you to sign.

Morning break is from 10.15 until 10.30. The children may have milk or a fruit snack at playtime.

Lunchtime is from 12.00-1.00pm with KS1 children eating first.

School ends at 3.15pm.  Your children must be collected promptly from the main playground.  KS1 children will not be dismissed without an adult collecting them.  If your normal arrangements are altered (e.g. if you are delayed or another person is collecting your child) please contact the office to inform us.   We will not allow your child home with someone else unless we have been notified.

Unless you have telephoned to let us know that you will be unexpectedly late collecting at the end of the school day, then any children who are not collected on time will be cared for at the After School Club and the necessary charge made. This avoids any confusion or upset.

If your child needs to take any prescribed medicines whilst at school it will be administered by a member of staff, on a voluntary basis. You must complete a medicine form which needs to be collected from and handed back into the office.
