Allergies

Some of our children are food-allergic with nut allergy being the most common.

Youngsters at risk of allergic reactions are not ill in the usual sense but may become unwell if they come into contact with a certain food.  In extreme cases the allergic reaction could be life threatening.

At Hallaton Church of England Primary School we use our best endeavours to ensure our school is nut-free and our staff are informed of youngsters who are food-allergic. With this in mind we ask that you exclude nuts when assembling lunch boxes and snacks for children. By not including nuts for youngsters to bring to school you will be helping to minimise the risk of a reaction occurring in a food-allergic child.

We appreciate your support in helping us to ensure the safety and well-being of our pupils.
